Joel was one of the most giving people I've ever met. He lived a more full life in his 33 years than most people will in 80 years. He is, and will be, sorely missed.

Joel was genuine and true and always smiling - I will miss him.
I am in absolute shock to have just heard of Joel's passing. I only met Joel once on a New Year's Day brunch at his parents house. He was so friendly and open that I felt an instant kinship. A soul for the ages who will forever be missed. May his family and friends gain strength from their memories. Bev Neun
Joel has been my little brother Travis' best friend for as long as I can remember. Joel was like a little brother to me; he's Family. I am so proud of what Joel did with his life. Growing up Joel and Travis idolized me and Justin, they wanted to be just like us. I would like to think that I helped his start down the right path in life. Every time he saw me he would say "T check out what I can do now, look what I've accomplished!" Joel knows that I am so proud of him. I love you Joel, and I miss you so much. Joel was such an inspiration as far as organization and "being so together" at a young age. I only knew him through a real estate transaction but will always remember his gentle way and ready smile.
Joel has so many good friends that love him dearly. He was one of the most thoughtful, and kind human beings I have ever met. I'm very grateful for knowing Joel, and the happiness that he brought. His memory will always be with us.

I don't know Joel but I would like people to know Shayna McGuinnis. She was so lovely and she will be so missed. Her family has seen so much heat ach please support them in this time don't you think he would have wanted it this could kill her mother Marler.

I have never experienced a loss as great as this one. I Was with Joel and Shana at midnight the night they died. I guess that I would be the last person she ever met. He introduced me to her as his oldest best friend Trav and we hugged each other. We talked of going to the ducks basketball game the next weekend and Joel put his arm around her and said they would come together to the game with me. They were truly great people who made the world a better place to be a part of. RIP to the beautiful couple forever joined by this tragic event.
...not a day goes by that I don't think of Joel. He was a wonderful person and a dear friend.
